Opus™ Roof Blanket Ranks Tops in Walking Traction

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (February 16, 2010) – A recent battery of tests performed
by a nationally renowned 3rd party lab ranks Opus Roof Blanket’s one of a kind
surface texture the very best in the roofing underlayment industry for walking
surface traction.
Tests were conducted in accordance with ASTM F1679 using a Variable Incidence
Tribometer (VIT). Included in the testing were felt paper, 5 leading brands of
plastic sheeting underlayment, and Opus Roof Blanket. Samples were tested for
walking traction in all directions while dry and wet. The results show that Opus’s
unique composition gives it the best walking traction in any direction, wet or dry of
any underlayment tested.
